Meet a Phone that keeps Mosquito Away – LG K7i

India, which is one of the few well-developed countries with well qualified doctors and scientists, it still keeps struggling with mosquitoes generated diseases like dengue and malaria. According to government records, there use to be over hundreds death while total cases crosses over thousands every year around the country.

We have seen some electronic products like ACs and TVs that helps us remain safe from mosquitoes. Now,  at the India Mobile Congress which held recently, LG introduced world’s first ever Smartphone with ‘Mosquito-Away’ technology, called LG K7i.  Designed specially for India, the phone is now available across the county at the budget price of Rs. 7,990/-

Wondering how does it works? Well, along with the normal cover, LG K7i carries an additional rear cover which is embedded with this Mosquito Away technology. This additional cover features a speaker that produces 30KHz Ultrasonic Sound Waves which is not good for Mosquito and hence they stay away.

Now the question is if this Ultrasonic Sound or the phone itself good for humans? LG itself has answered, as follows:

The company has set a benchmark for ensuring the health of Indian consumers. The phone is absolutely safe and harmless for humans. LG has conducted multiple tests of the technology that were certified by India’s International Institute of Biotechnology and Toxicology, adding that the K7i repelled on average 72% of disease-spreading mosquitoes. Now coming to the specifications, the new LG K7ifeatures a 5 inch OnCell display and supports Dual SIM connectivity. It comes out of the box running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is powered by quad core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage memory which can be further expanded using MicroSD card. Under camera section, the phone carries an 8 Megapixel camera at rear, while on the front facing it has a 5 Megapixel camera for Selfie fans. As per connectivity, LG K7i supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1 and Micro-USB. LG has backed up the phone with 2500mAH battery.
